Hello All,
I've decided that today will be the day that I will actually create my blog. I've been thinking for a while about creating a blog along with an Etsy account (no, I haven't done that yet. Are you surprised? If you know me, you shouldn't be), and instead of sitting around all day on my day off, I'll do something productive. I feel like I've had so much pent up creative energy, and it's due time to release some of it!
For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be an artist. Throughout the years, the concentration has changed, but to be an artist has always been the goal. I started going to school and loved it, and with two classes left for my associates degree, I decided to go for my bachelors instead of finishing the first. Going out of state was a necessity, and lucky for me, I got accepted to a plethora of schools with amazing scholarships in tow. Unlucky for me, I still couldn't afford it. Still needing a change in scenery, I packed up all of my belongings that would fit into my car, and drove cross country to sunny California to obtain my instate residency. My fantastic big brother recently moved out there, and invited me to live with him. I got a job at a restaurant, and shortly after also started working for a wonderful photographer. It was then that realized I absolutely did NOT want to make photography my career. Great, now what's a girl to do?! Living in a strange place, not knowing hardly anyone, making minimum wage as a server, and now having no direction in life to boot! UGH!!
While this emotional, albeit life altering, roller coaster was going on, I met the man of my dreams and made some of the greatest friends a girl could ask for. This year I have accomplished, seen, and experienced many things. I have moved in with the man, found a new love for cooking, and have decided to take the steps towards making some mullah with my arts and crafts. I have become the quintessential Hannah Homemaker. Weird, yet satisfying.
With the Etsy store that will one day surface, I want to share my new found loves and experiences with the world. Here's hoping it'll take off!!
